A wayward couple of days...

Have managed to make a bit of an arse of myself on the Blonde forums complaning for not making the blue belt grade. I should've cooled down before I started talking about it, but in fairness I feel I have every right to be upset, frustrated and all that.

I think Neil really missed the boat with me. I think I'd have been really good for the site. I was dedicated, hard working, made the effort to trapse down from Lincoln every week, and I missed out only because of my lack of profit over the grading, which was supposedly only a quarter of the decision, but for me it turned out to be seemingly the main factor.

Neil rang me and said I was unusual because I hit brown belt targets in some categories in his decision and green belt in others, whereas others were perhaps a mix of 2 colours next to each other. In my Maths lessons I was taught that (1+3)/2 = 2, but I guess they used a different forumla over at Blackbelt.

I hope my appearance on The Poker Show (link available on the left menu) made me seem like less of a donk over the whole thing.

I haven't played over the last couple of days. As you can imagine, I've needed a break from poker. I was originally intending to hit Pokerstars hard due to their VIP deal. Now, I think I will compromise and just make sure I hit the 1200 points for Platinum status and maybe experiment on there a little in June. Having had a very sucessful time at the tables from the start of the year to mid-April, it's been 6 weeks since I made any money and I am keen to get back on track...

Black Belt Poker Grading: 180 degrees

Things were going so nice and steady, I guess I couldn't allow myself to expect that to continue

If you aren't sick of hearing about my downswings then click here

The website had difficulties putting the image up I mentioned, so I'll whack it on here. Basically this is how I've run in the 480 SNGs I've played in the duration of the grading. The green line is where I am, and the red line is where I would be at had my luck been average....nice!

Black Belt Poker Grading, Day 3

After a workshop on day two I was feeling all psyched up to get back to the tables and win back some losses from day one. Somehow though, the sickness continued.
